Metasonix Videos!

As a change of pace from my Ask.Audio reviews, I’ve started doing videos on modules starting with these handsome devils from Metasonix. Videos make a bit more sense for conveying information about modules because you can see and hear what the module does, rather than relying on descriptions and/or sound clips and putting the two together. These modules have continued to surprise me with all kinds of weirdness since making these videos.

First up is the RK2 XS-VCA, which is not your average VCA.

Next up is the RK3 Ringer/Shaper, which is not really a ring-mod, nor a waveshaper. You’ll just have to watch the video to get a sense of what it’s about.

Review: 4MS Spherical Wavetable Navigator Eurorack Module

4MS was kind enough to send me their impressive Spherical Wavetable Navigator for review. The module is quite powerful and sounds amazing, but I’ll admit I did find it a little confusing to navigate the navigator. You can check out my full review here.

Review: Humble Audio Quad Operator

Four oscillators with a modulation matrix is the basic architecture of the Humble Audio Quad Operator. If this sounds as fun to you as it does to me, you can check out my full review and demos here: https://ask.audio/articles/review-humble-audio-quad-operator

Review: Make Noise QPAS Eurorack Synth Module

This filter was certainly fun to get to know. Its got a lot of character, and the flexible routing opens up some fun possibilities. Check out my review here: https://ask.audio/articles/review-make-noise-qpas-eurorack-synth-module

Review: Noise Engineering Cursus Iteritas Percido

This was the first piece of Noise Engineering kit to grace my rack, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. You can check out my review and some basic Latin here: https://ask.audio/articles/review-noise-engineering-cursus-iteritas-percido
